Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data paycalceu.com processes and why. The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, so the salaries and amounts you type are never sent to us. We only ever process anonymous usage statistics, and we show ads — both only if you accept the relevant cookies.

Who is responsible

paycalceu.com is operated by Radim Sekera (sekera.dev). For any question about this policy or your data, contact [email protected]. This operator is the data controller for the processing described here.

Your calculations stay on your device

Every calculator on this site — salary, VAT, self-employed, and the finance tools — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The salaries, amounts, and any figures you enter are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and never stored. When you close the tab, they are gone. PDF exports are also generated locally in your browser.

Cookies and local storage

We use the minimum necessary. Advertising cookies are set only if you allow them.

  • Theme preference (browser local storage): remembers your light/dark choice. Functional, always on, no consent needed.
  • Cookie choice (browser local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. Functional.
  • Google Analytics (cookies _ga, _ga_*): anonymous usage statistics. Set only after you click "Accept". You can decline, and nothing is set.
  • Google AdSense (advertising cookies): used to select and measure ads. Set only if you consent in the ad banner; declining means you still see ads, just not personalised ones.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If — and only if — you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage: which pages are visited, rough country, device type. IP addresses are anonymised and are not stored by Google Analytics 4, and we do not use the data to identify you. Google acts as our processor and may process the data in the United States under the standard EU data-transfer safeguards. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is free because ads pay for it. They are served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies and similar technology to choose which ads to show and to measure whether they worked. Nothing you type into the calculators is ever sent to Google or to advertisers — those figures never leave your browser in the first place.

In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent banner asks before any advertising cookie is set. You can decline and keep the full site; the ads you then see are not personalised. You can change your answer at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. Google's advertising policies: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Calculators embedded on other websites carry no advertising: the ad script is not loaded in the embed view at all, so an embedded calculator sets no advertising cookies on the page hosting it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical connection data — IP address, browser type, the requested URL, and a timestamp — as our processor. This is standard for any website and does not identify you personally to us. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Search statistics

We use Google Search Console to see aggregated, anonymous search statistics — for example which search queries lead people to the site. It does not give us any personal data about individual visitors.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process data on these bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Analytics cookies: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Advertising cookies: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Hosting and security logs: our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold no personal profile of you, most requests concern the processors named above. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
